SSC introduces the Multiple Interface Data Analysis (MIDA) System.
Specifically designed for the needs of the signal & data analysis professionals,
the base MIDA
System is currently a collection of three plotting modules for XY,
Polar and
Waterfall
plotting formats, and a MATH module for various data analysis. All MIDA
modules are integrated under a data
management module Project Data Manager (PDMgr).
In addition to its base
modules MIDA supports specialized
modules such as the Binary File Data Acquisition
and the Order-X
Module.
PDMgr provides
various capabilities to edit data headers, organize, import, export data and manage its
own project database.
Plotting modules are designed to handle complex data and allow real, imaginary, magnitude
and phase plotting without altering the original data. Plotting formats such as
logarithmic or dB amplitude and logarithmic abscissa are also supported.
MATH module is designed to work with plotting modules and provides more than 100 functions that are frequently encountered during most data analysis tasks.
Data acquisition module is designed to acquire data from very large binary files written by digital tape recorders. This module incorporates several state of the art features such as rpm proportional windowing and on the fly time to angle base conversion for leakage free data acquisition as well as data browsing and snapshot acquisition that currently no other data acquisition software offers.
Order-X is a specialized analysis module used to transform vibration measurements made in non-rotating coordinate systems to rotating coordinate systems. Order-X transformations are used for machinery health monitoring and fault diagnostics and for determining the dynamic character of rotating shafts and discs.
