Order-X for Shafts |
| The Order-X
SHAFTS user interface provides the transformation of radial vibrations of
shafts using the data acquired as indicated in the figure on the top right corner of the
interface. Data taken at different shaft speeds, when identified with proper header information in the MIDA System, appears in the data lists under "Non-Rotating Coordinate System" group. All a user needs to do is to highlight the corresponding pairs of data, select the the domain in which the transformation is to be made in the "Rotating Coordinate System" group and press the right (red) arrow to perform a forward Order-X Transformation. If data was taken in a rotating coordinate system it appears in the "Rotating Coordinate System" lists. In this case an inverse transform can be made by pressing on the left (blue) arrow. An inverse transform yields what would have been measured from a non-rotating coordinate system. The transformed data can be plotted using the XY or Waterfall Plotting Modules of the MIDA System. A transformation with data taken in non-orthogonal axes is also possible. If a transformation is made from time to frequency domains, users can also select the appropriate windowing and amplitude scaling as desired. In case of displacement data the interface also provides an easy way to remove initial probe distances from the data. |
